Default 9 Rings camping in party search?

Just finished doing the token quests on my last toon. When I got back to shing jea I opened the party search to find this oddity staring at me.

wtf.JPG

What's the deal? I figure it's tracking lucky/unlucky scores, but why put them in party search, and why manually update them. Or are these bots?

It's just something people started doing. During festivals Party Search is pretty much useless for real stuff (too many districts), so players started using it to brag about their title gains.

i think to keep track on how much lucky points they have gained whilst afk/sleep

instead of writing it on paper or remembering with how many lucky/unlucky points you start. they put in party search. and when they come back, they can see how many points they have gotten.

I think

That is about right. Not bragging, just recording. It is faster to type than it is to write them down. A lot of people have very neet desks without pen and paper handy.

I just open up notepad and do all that, can put more info down anyways than you can in party search. No reason to put it on party search. It's annoying for anyone that is actually looking for something and it's just showing off when most of the people don't have anything to show off. Find a pen and paper or open up notepad.

L = Lucky, U = Unlucky. It's nothing more than people posting their current title standings.

It's an e-peen thing.

Why would a bot type something into party search like that... try thinking about something before you say it. People have been doing this for years.

if its a closer/almost max title id say its an e-peen thing.
for most everyone its just a recodring thing. for me @ least its alot easier to type then it is to write. and this way you cant have it spammed away if you put it in team chat or w/e. but yea deffinatley not bots.. there would be alot of bots if that was going on.. also bots would be making money.. not losing alot of it over a long period of time :P

It's for all the Rata Sum raptor farmers who think that if they form parties with people with similar digits that they will have better lucky drops...

it's got nothing in the goddamn world to do with showing off. you people are neurotic.

what i thought was blatantly smack-you-in-the-face obvious, it's a convenient way to track your own progression in the title.

Why would a human? Try thinking before you flame. Anyone who is running guild wars also has notepad or other text editor that can even more easily be used to track it since you don't have to find yourself on the list among the three gazillion other geniuses doing the same thing.

That's exactly what drunkard bots do.

Nope!

All this talk of "party search window is easiest" had me giggling a little bit. I just take a screenshot -- tracks my Luck/Unluck and how many tickets I've lost overnight.
